"Pineward perfumes capture abandoned alpine farmsteads, boreal bracken and briars, frost-laden and fog-blanketed firs, loam-covered logs, prickles of pine, thickly thicketed thistles, rotting rooted carpets, morel mushroom mycelium, sap encrusted spruces, misty, murky, mossy, forests up in a stoppered bottle. My hope is that wearing Pineward perfume will transport you to remote untamed forests far, far, past the reaches of civilization and into primeval black woods of fantasy.
I love all things pertaining to pines and conifers, but I find most perfumes I've tried shy away from the raw forest aspects. I have sampled and bought no small amount of conifer perfumes, and you can read my older reviews for others here. My goal in crafting these scents is to create the ultimate line of pine and fir perfumes, using the highest-quality natural ingredients possible to source. I don't wish to box myself in by making only coniferous perfumes, but they are a core tenet of Pineward. These perfumes are raw, unapologetically brutal affairs that attempt to emulate the gorgeous smells already found in nature.
The perfumes of Pineward are crafted largely using heavily concentrated absolutes and should be tested on small patches of skin before further application, or alternatively they may be worn on dark-colored garments. The perfumes are alcohol-based (using 190 proof grain alcohol), containing a mixed medium of natural materials and aromachemical components for support and stability. A select few of the perfumes contain non-vegan materials and are marked as such on the respective product pages."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q: Do you offer international shipping?
A: Unfortunately, we no longer offer international shipping as of December 2024 and have no plans to offer this service again as of now. Please see our stockist page for international retail partners. Note: we are in the process of adding additional retailers in more countries.
Q: I received an extra sample of a perfume that is not on your website with my order, can you tell me about it?
A: We often send out promising prototypes that are in development to gauge general reactions, we are always happy to hear feedback and give (some limited) information about these if you reach out using the contact form.
Q: When will ______ perfume be available again for purchase?
A: Some of our perfumes are seasonal and only offered during certain times of the year. Please follow our Instagram account (@pinewardperfume) and subscribe to our mailing list for updates.
Q: Are your perfumes all-natural?
A: No, our perfumes are formulated using a mixed medium of natural materials and aroma chemical components for support and stability. We use many types of natural materials including absolutes, essential oils, SCO2 extracts, tinctures, enfleurage, resins, hydrosols, and concretes.
Q: Are your perfumes vegan?
A: Most of the perfumes in the line are vegan, there are exceptions which are stated on each individual product page.
Q: Do your perfumes contain phthalates and parabens?
A: No.
Q: Are your perfumes alcohol-based?
A: Yes, we use 200-proof kosher grain alcohol as a medium.
Q: Do you offer oil versions of your perfumes:
A: Oil versions are not available.
Q: How long do your perfumes last and project on skin?
A: This varies from person to person, we strongly recommend you sample the perfumes before buying larger sizes to determine this for yourself.
Q: My order status shows as ‘pending’, is there an issue?
A: No, this status means that the order has been received but that we have not yet created the shipping label.
POLICIES & TERMS
Standard processing times are 2-4 business days from the time an order is placed, though this may vary with seasonal releases. We typically ship orders on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week.
We cannot accept returns or exchanges, and it is strongly recommended that you order samples before purchasing larger sizes. Please reach out to our team using the contact form or via email at orders@pinewardperfume.com if there is an issue with your order.
We do not wish to market Pineward by hype and FOMO. When perfumes sell out, we produce more based on demand and availability of materials.
We do not provide free products in exchange for reviews or exposure, we do not collaborate with influencers.
We do not use pre-blended fragrance oils (FOs).
We do not use AI in any capacity.
Pineward perfumes are not IFRA compliant. We use more oakmoss than is allowed per IFRA standards and use many plant extracts that are created in-house which are not accounted for in IFRA regulations.
Over time, or from batch to batch, you may notice color changes, deposits, or slight alteration to the composition. This is due to the high percentage of natural ingredients in the compositions and is normal.
