CHRISTMAS WINE
2025 Edition
Notes: cranberry, blood orange, cloves, nutmeg, fir balsam, iris, red currant, scotch pine, juniper berry.
Yuletide glogg, mulled wine on Christmas night. An unfiltered mélange of rich cranberry, fir, and spices.
Parfum extrait+ compounded at 31%.
Nick's Note:
"Originally, Christmas Wine and Gluhwein were similar perfumes. To make the batch of Gluhwein for the year, I would simply make 1.5 batches of Christmas wine, take the extra half batch of Christmas Wine and then add in the extra components that made it Gluhwein. Now these perfumes have diverged to the point of being quite different and do not share the same base, only having a few notes in common including our bespoke cranberry absolute. This year we extracted about 30 pounds of cranberry to make enough concrete to refine into the absolute for these batches.
This year's edition of Christmas Wine features heavier emphasis on tart cranberry, with added notes of iris, red currant, scotch pine, and juniper berry. The plum has been removed, as well as some of the more savory aspects of dried and stewed fruit, there are slightly less mulling spices present as well. The resulting 2025 version is a much brighter and tart cranberry wine perfume with icy iris and, fresh citrus and frosted juniper berry notes"
